Does anyone know anything about the EGR?!!

My car is throwing the EGR code and wont start, does the EGR effect the ignition in any way or is it just throwing a random default code? Any advice helps.

Significant Technical Input
If the EGR valve is stuck wide open it could make starting difficult. How was the engine running before you last shut it off?

Kinda slung up under the intake manifold, on the rear passenger corner.

Well, I had a friend sit in the car and try to start while I was at the Throttle body and while he turned it I gave it a little gas, not much but just enough to get it going, and it ran perfectly fine. I also got a new water temp sensor for the fans and not even a blink of the check engine light.
