Toying with a Celica

As you may know I tried to go drag racing this Sat but instead drove 2hr. to find out the runs were cancelled due to repeating sprinkles. So one the way back home I felt the need to pass and race everything that came my way. So I get this guy in like a 89 Celica up my ass trying to get by all the traffic, he end up trying a few bad lines and falls back, then I see him make a dash for the same off ramp that I have to take, so I move over to the exit lane right behined him and get right on his bumper, he starts to brake and then notices me behined him so he keeps his speed up trying to go around the skid pad like exit ramp, I stick to his bumber like I'm sticking to the road and just about push him in to the grass before backing off. He gets to the bottom of the ramp with 2wheels in the grass and I just powered by him merging into the fast moving traffic. The Celica never to be seen again.

Well yeah, compared to some cars but it sure as hell handels better than an 89 Celica.

I wonder how it would have turned out if it had been the All-Trac model (GT-Four for the non-US owners)?

If you were going 135mph, how could you possibly tell that the Celica was supercharged?

I knew that it was supercharged because it was actually keeping with me... it was a show car, been seen in lots of magazines, supercharged.. I passed him at 135 when he was goin about 125....

It might of had different results, but it was far from an all track, It was also far from being all one color.

ahh.. i love these stories.. being a firefighter, all i can think of is more wonderful cars to rip apart to get the drive out. Supra Turbo, SVX... gotta love it

Drive or driver? I work at the shop that gets to tow them in after you get the driver out.....I get the drive.
