2nd-3rd Shift flair? (engine revs to 2.5k, light throttle)

10 months and $3600 ago the tranny was redone. The shop is respected, well known and has a 3 year warrentee. I checked the "problem now codes" and it was clean. I checked the historical codes and got 12,13,14,15,22,23,32,33. (I think, list is in the car) I'm thinking sticky shift solenoid. Anyone care to make another guess. I went into the place sounding like I knew what was going on.

Sounds like the TPS if it does it under light throttle.

TPS Hmmm?

That would be the correct situation. I went throught the shop manual. A bad TPS would explain a lot but I didn't see it listed as a posible cause.

BUT THANKS LOADS! I'd mush rather work from the top than the bottom (if ya know what a mean)

the other possibility is the need for a band adjustment

I forgot

to mention... It's an intermittant problem. Which really points to something like the TPS. I'll go clear the codes and drive it around a bit. see what I can come up with.

I found that when I adjusted the TPS that that made a difference (I haven't experimented with it much yet, but turning it counter clockwise gets rid of the flare and seems to add a little extra throttle, and turning it clockwise will cause the flare even under heavier, moderate acceleration.

Now Codes

Yep, Just got back from a short drive and the "Check Engine" light came on. Code 22 (knock sensor) So, I'm not retarded but the ignition timing is! Har har. I've seen warnings about adjusting the TPS. I guess I'll just make sure I mark it before I move it.

Thanks
Collins
