HELP!!! Tranny trouble and shift kit

I need help bad...

I just had my tranny re-rebuilt and had the Transgo shift kit installed.

4 days later the tranny is slipping at start off and between every shift. Before this started I really didn't notice much difference in the characteristics of the tranny, as in the feel of the shift and when it shifts. I understand there are other benefits to the shift kit, I expected more. Should there be more?

Also, could the misapplication of the kit be causing my new troubles?

I have to get this thing back in right away so any "quick" response would be appreciated.

Wish I had a good answer for you. The only time I've seen a tranny slip from a stop it was low on ATF.

Tell your mechanic to check the brake band adjustment. Just a possibility. I am in the process of rebuilding my 92 right now. Don't run the trans any more than you have to until the problem is fixed. Slipping can cause irreversible damage.

de,

Thanks for the reply. I have it back again and it's fine now. There was a problem with the a duty solenoid. The car is now happy and so am I.

Good luck on your rebuild. You might want to squeeze a cup holder in there somewhere.
