Diesel gets mixed with regular gas

A fuel delivery guy making a stop at a Valero gas station in Plainville, CT. accidentaly put Diesel fuel in a regular gas storage tank. Needless to say, before the mistake was caught, about 20-25 cars had filled up there cars with this blend of diesel and gas. The local shops were busy afterward, as all the affected vehicles had to have their gas tanks removed and flushed, new plugs, and gas lines flushed as well, etc. Hopefully no svx's were in this bunch.

Re: Diesel gets mixed with regular gas

depending on how much diesel was mixed it could have been no problem at all.

in fact about 4 gallons of diesel mixed with 16 gallons of gas will clean up the varnish deposits in the engine.

I would say it would not run as fuel efficient nor as strong though. lol

Re: Diesel gets mixed with regular gas

the same thing happened at a gas station a few blocks from my shop. did several fuel tank drops in one day and traced them all back to the station. when we went to the station to let them know they were still selling the gas but with a sticky note on the pump informing the customers.
