Question Change the shift cable

Hello!

I have a broken cable which connect shifter with transmission (shift cable). I buy the new one. So, can i change it by myself? And how hard is it? I don't have any instructions how to remove shift cable.

Can you help me how to do it? Or there is some manual...

Thanks

Re: Change the shift cable

it's not too hard, just frustrating. you have to unhook both ends, one at shifter and one at transmission, remove the clips that hold the outer part still at each end, then pull one end through the floorboard. no special tools needed, just some patience.

Re: Change the shift cable

Well short answer YES you can do it
If you have patience, tools, patience, mechanical knowhow, patience, you get the idea, should not be to hard, IF, things are NOT rusty, just lift the car, SECURE the lifted car and crawl under there and have a look. Remove old replace with new tada drive, of course the may be complications. Have a go at it and let us know what help may be needed.........G
