As my 'city' declines...

For the FIRST time in my life, I put a 357 Magnum on my hip to go outside to get a log for the fire!

The cops had everything they had on the streets and in the air! Being a 'law abiding' citizen, I didn't have SQUAT to do with the police presence, but was not confident they could 'protect' me. I stepped outside to get some wood and a cop stopped by to ask me a question. I told him that "I live here, and was wondering what a helicopter was doing over my HOUSE"!!

My FIRST thought was that the 'new' neighbors were up to their crap again, but found out that it was just an 'armed robbery' of the convenience store across the street.
When the cops were checking MY cars, looking for the perp, I thought that I should put on the Magnum. (I did)

"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"

Re: As my 'city' declines...

I'd go with a 50AE Although in all practicality, a nice 9mm would do just fine...

(Although have you ever seen the ballistics on an FN Five-seveN? Holy )

I definitely want to get my CCP, my town isn't going to hell in a hand basket (yet) but I want to get one before NObama decides to make them hard to get...

As for the 9mm, the POPE took 7 rounds and lived to 'forgive' the perp.
I want to be 'SORRY he DIED' if I ever get into a situation where I use 'deadly force'.

My Ruger came with 2 cylinders, one that takes 9 mm and one that takes 38 special or 357.
I have 'tested' both of them and the 9mm sits in the case when I am concerned about my safety, while the 357 is full complimented..

Nag, nag, nag,

I COULD go on, but I've seen Jerry shoot.
I personally like the 9, because it's easy to shoot "well".
More later...
