Question tranny indicator

My transmission is working fine (knock on wood - even though I don't believe in superstition). But today the dash indicator decided to stay in park. It moves on the console when I move the shift lever, and everything shifts fine, the inhibitor works, etc - just the dash issue. Is this an electronic or mechanical link?

If its a big cost I'll just live with it, but it bothers me a fair amount 'cause everytime I look down to check speed, etc., my eyes are drawn to it.

Wink

The good old black electrical tape over the offending light mod always works for me. Takes the worry out pending doom.

Ron.

Hey! That's what I did when I kept seeing this "Check Engine" on the dash even though the dealer already replaced my O2 sensor. It works well for me too
