Angry ok now im pissed (electrical problem)

I took apart my dash to put some new interior peices back in and now my dash cluster lights wont work. The gear selector lights between the speedo and tach work down to D and all the check engine, abs, oil, airbag etc lights on the bottom work.

When taking apart my dash I unplugged the part of the harness that has the security switch on the left side, the climate control wires, and my clock. I could have sword I plugged back in my clock but that wont work either. I also dont have my headunit connected.

The headunit wasnt getting power but I assumed I messed up the ground (its an aftermarket unit) but its possibly not getting power along with the other things.

Is there anything in particular that could be causing this?? could a fuse cause all these lights and my headunit and my clock not to work. I disassembled my dash with the car on...idk if thats a bad thing?

If you took it apart while it was juiced. My first guess is that you shorted out somewhere and blew a fuse. Use a test light or meter to check for voltage on BOTH sides of each fuse with the ignition on.

And next time disconnect the battery when you pull apart the dash.

Do your gear selector lights work or are they still out too?
