SVX running Well!!!

I just thought i'd post about how well my svx is running! (since it seems that a lot of us are always having to complain about something going wrong!!).

I recently had my two front pre cats replaced (special thanks to somethingelse!), the old precats were literally rusted straight through at the hinge. So i had a very annoying/embarrassing exhaust leak. Also the ass clowns that replaced my transmission somehow overtorqued my starter and cracked the mounts (which was replaced, again thanks to somethingelse!).

Now that my exhaust is completely fixed and quiet the car just seems to drive 1000 times better as a whole. Response is much better, highway cruising is much more enjoyable, the car warms up much faster, and the transmission shifts a bit better (although there is a bit of a clunk and flare from time to time).

But overall the car really is a dream to drive, like everyone else i've been through hell trying to get this car in decent running condition, and finally have. Its just amazing how a 15 year old car can run so well (can't even imagine what a brand new svx would have run like), my gf's 2004 infiniti isn't half as nice!!

Now i just have to keep my fingers crossed for this all to last!

My car ex JDM, 156,000 Kms, has involved me in the following ghastly expenses over a period six years ownership:-

Transmission cooler fitted by specialist, Not considered expensive.

Front door speakers replaced by me. Ditto

Window cable bracket. Fixed by me, Component cost, peanuts.

Steering reservoir O ring. Ditto.

Windscreen Washer jet split. Ditto.

Speed sensor replaced by dealer. Not expensive.

Everything else has been confined to anticipated normal wear and tear items.

My SVX has never ever let me or my wife down and has done all and more than expected of it. To be honest, I am unable to understand the many problems reported.

The car drives as new in every respect and in spite of looking at and driving many new cars, I have no desire to make a change. What is more I am very demanding in my expectations and requirements.
