Exclamation Crank Pulley Key-Need Help Fast

I need help ASAP as I am working on this right now.

I removed the old pulley(the bolt was already loose...), but there is almost no key protruding, only about 1/8" left. The timing belt cover also was dug all the way through.

Regarding the key and installing the new puilley, If i can not get a grip on the key to pull it out can i just punch it through the back and then replaace it or does it have to come out the way it came in? Do dealers stock these keys?

Help
Caleb

So I removed the timing belt cover, broke it in the process, not a big deal since i was going to replace it anyways, but I now have a better view of the key. The key was sheared off at an angle so gripping it with pliers or vice grips is pretty mush impossible. What are other methods of removing this key.

PS does anyone have a center timing belt cover for sale?

Anyone?

Caleb

Same thing happened to me.

Keys are like $3 at the dealer (don't remember just guessing)
and the center timing cover is like 100 and comes with the rubber gasket.

I wonder if you can use a magnet to get it out. Are you saying it was sheared of completely?
Maybe take some high pressure water to it and spray it out?
