Question Power Steering question

Does the speed sensing type have some sort of solenoid? If it does where is it located. I can see some sort of connection close to the O2 sensor connector, but there is nothing pluged in there.

Any suggestions ?

As far as I am aware the solenoid is fitted to the rack torsion valve housing/tower-although we only got the 'normal' or 'sport' option by way of a switch mounted on the DS lower dash panel. (next to the 'summer'-'winter' wiper switch!!)
