drivetrain question?

Why does the AT have a front diff that is bolted to the trans compared to the manual with an integrated diff.

Maybe to have less stress on the Auto tranny?? or maybe to make things easier (considering fixing) by dividing the tranny into two, one as a tranny and the other as a differential?? i think the 1977 range rover have a one unit tranny considering the A/T and the differential... so when fixing stuff, there was a difficulty removing them because of their massive weight, so maybe here is the answer to your question

Maybe has something to do with the AT using ATF and diffs using gear oils... dont really know

Mods (in order of install)- K&N air filter, ECUtune stage 1v.4, Alternator mod, removed intake resonator, B&M Supercooler, Window Tint, JDM Emblem, Hid Kit 5000K.
