On the oil shortage...

A lot of folks can't understand
how we came to have
an oil shortage here in our country.
~~~
Well, there's a very simple answer.
~~~
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
~~~
We just didn't know we were getting low.
~~~
The reason for that is purely geographical.
~~~
Our OIL is located in
~~~
Alaska
~~~
California
~~~
Oklahoma
and
TEXAS
~~~
~~~
Our
DIPSTICKS
are located in
Washington DC

If we continue to use oil at the present rate, the currently profitable deposits will be used up before the year 2050. Of course that doesn't mean we'll run out of oil. What that means is that the price will go up, making deposits that are not currently profitable to tap, profitable.

So we'll never run out of oil, we'll just run out its profitabiltiy, and then a cheaper energy source will take its place.
