Transmission wiring query
ok i have bought a service manual cd for my svx after i did my tranmission adn tc swap from a 90 legacy. I am still trying to figure out why my torque converter locks up and then unlucks and stays unlocked. After fiddling around while driving, if i place the car in neutral and shut it down while moving, and start it back up the tc will lock and stay put for a while. It will only unlock if i slow down to almost or a complete stop. I am figuring when i re configured the wires in the plug i messed up a little. So i got the wiring diagrams. Now, the 90 legacy diagram has 3 shift solenoids, a line pressure solenoid, a lock up solenoid, and 4wd solenoid. then it has the same components as the 94 svx diagram. what i need to know is which one of these three odd ball solenoids(a line pressure solenoid, a lock up solenoid, and 4wd solenoid) is the equal to the svx's duty solenoids a, b, and c. This is just stupid knowlege that a tehnical member will probobly know so please, help me out asap.
Thnx a lot Tom Last edited by TomsSVX; 09-29-2004 at 12:04 AM. |

I do not have the books here but 'A' is the line pressure and 'C' is the transfer pressure or what you called 4wd. I thought that the wiring was the same? or maybe that is just the earlier Legacy's 91-93?

thats exactly what i wanted to hear. I just need to make sure that b is the lock up solenoid, since this is what i am having trouble with.

correct:
A=Line Pressure B=TC Lockup C=AWD Transfer
