a/c compressor

Well, my used a/c compressor failed after one month.

Subaru Canada wants $1700 for a new one.

Subaruparts.com lists it for $500+.

I have only been able to find refurbished units on line. The garage I use brought in a new after market one which turned out to be cross referenced incorrectly and didn't fit.

Does anyone know if compatible unit that fits the SVX?
