Hey Bob,
Mark me down for only 2 now. My 9 yr old is throwing me over for her best friend's surprise birthday party. Can you guys believe that? Choosing a party over Dad and Subaroos? What was she thinking? So it will just be me and my assistant.

Serves me right for workin 3 jobs and not checking the board enough. Looks like I'll be eating at the BK Lounge this year with whomever else missed the deadline or is really winging this meet on a shoestring budget. Was not sure if the wife wanted to attend dinner with me this year or not anyway. She wants to make an appearance at the meet but figure she didn't want to stay all day anyway. Have a fun dinner and I'll see you before and after.

Ben, if someone does not show up for the dinner let me know before dinner starts. I will take his/her place (if all goes well for me. This whole weekend could still fly out of control for me) and pay you then. I still find it hard to believe some of the gang would stiff you like that. Thanks.

Yep. I ended up collecting the cash and putting our table on my C/C. Maria was so concerned that I'd gotten stiffed, that she gave me another twenty bucks. She was riding back to wherever she lived then, with Alanscouse. I gave the twenty to Alan and asked him to give it to Maria once they got down the road (so she couldn't return it to me). Alan (this being the first time he'd met Maria) was reluctant to hand her a twenty dollar bill in his car , but, I convinced him, and just told him to tell her it was from Shari and me. She gave me all manner of hell (via e-mail, of course) over it, but, I wasn't worried about being stiffed -- mainly because I was high on Thera Flu.
