I, and many other network members, have raceconcepts rotors... i bought them before the company changed hands, however since they're the same thing, the quality should be the same, which i believe many members will agree is good.


I would urge EVERYONE to avoid the "bored" rotors. from what I know of rotor technology all it is really doing is removing more contact area. which is not smart. get slotted only, or blank, and you'll be better off.

I have the slotted xdrilled with the pads from Ben and it had been great, and when the time comes for brakes on the black SVX I'll do the same. The customer service was great. Great product for the price, unless you have deeeeeeeep pockets for a complete brake upgrade ($1,700 +)

Thank you for your honest opinion. We really hope that all the vendors could be as honest as you. We want all of our customers to know the true about contact area of surface fiction. Those who claim that taking away too much material is not good is false.They are taking the quick way out. It take only a fraction of our time to complete their process. We're only do what an enthusiasts would do is to maximize the potential of their car performance. (In another word, less drill/slot mean quicker process, which makes it easier for them.) Raceconcepts beleive in doing it the right way, where perfection, and performance are more valuable then time. For example, we all can recognize how BREMBO frabricate their drill rotors. With the massive amount of drill input in their rotors, it takes longer time to complete. Therefore, a bigger price tag was attache to it. There've never been any complaints about the performance of their work but just the prices. Raceconcepts would not jeopardize the name just to throw any nem products in the market. It've been tested with our own vehicles with the stop and go, and extreme 100-0. We want our customers to understand that, " If it's not in our car, it's not in our store." (In my personal experience, I have the bore/slot in my car and loving it. The feeling of exiting the freeway with a clear exit , I accellerate to the mid-section of the off ramp and slam on the brake. It gave me an agressive, and rigid grib feeling as the front sunk down. Its like nothing I've ever seen before. The best of all was an incident that I encountered. A car was in front of me on the road brakes in a sudden, I quicly slam on the brakes. Right at that moment, I thank God that I've put the rotors on. Judged from my seat it was about 1 inch away from a collission. I DO NOT recogment anyone to test what I try in my own experience. There're no words can desribe the performance as experiencing it for themself.) Bore/Slot is very effective therfore, Raceconcepts hope that our customers not to fear and judge the unknown, but rather to be given an opportunity to prove that Bore/Slot would be the altimate performance for the consumers.Once again thank you Greg for a chance to discuss about Bore/Slot.

Thanks for your responce Ben. I have some from before you took over the company, and I love them. I know a few members who have gotten them after you were there and they have been very happy. One other thing that I love is the SS Brake lines. There is a much more firm feeling when the brakes are applied. I love them. Thanks for your service Ben.

Are the SS brake lines worth 80$? or is just a "nice little extra" thing to add to the car, ive already got slotted/drilled rotors all the way around and im just curious about the Stainless lines.

Yes, I think that they are worth every cent. They look good because they are stainless, but that is not why they are so good. They do not swell when the brakes are applied, and make them seem much more positive. I would put them on even if I didn't do any thing else.

Can you (or anyone for that matter) explain the benifits/drawbacks when comparing Slotted/X-Drilled to Dimpled/X-Drilled?

Ben, can you let me know how much to ship to UK for complete set, I'm very interested because for a car of this weight, i think the brakes are under powered,would've been better if i had ABS but thats life

I'll answer this in a FAQ form.

Question: Which releases gas and heat more quickly and effectively? Answer: X-drilled/slotted.

Question: Which has faster response? Answer: X-drilled/slotted.

Question: Which is more likely to evade stress cracks? Answer: Dimpled/slotted.

Question: Which has more structural integrity? Answer: Dimpled/slotted.

Question: Which do you recommend for me? Answer: It all depends on the weather conditions of the area that you live in, whether you're a daily driver or a racing enthusiast, or just personal taste (which is more important? performance or visuals?)

I also purchased these before the change and agree that the quality was/is good. I do not recommend that you get slotted + drilled in cold areas with rain. I find that I have to warm my brakes to keep up effective braking in the rain. They cool too quick and when you mix that with water you get less friction... less braking... I'm sure that the contact area plays a part as well.

Next time I will be getting slotted only.

BTW I used semi metallic pads.. not sure if anything else would improve. Ima try "stuff" next time never tried em before.

The bore/slot look fun, but I need function...

the contact areas became wavy when you drop water over heat, you feel that when you push on the brake, your foot goes up an down...
And I will get Slotted only next time.

Nice prices Ben. I'm looking to change all four of my rotors next month and I'm thinking of going with a SLOT only design on the front & rear rotors.

I wouldn't need any pads as I have some new semi-metallics to put on.
