Samathia is alive
As some of you may know my Samathia had an acute rupture in the punminary cavity of her transmission. This required emedit attention. I did not have the time to rebuild her existing tranny so she got a donor from a 96 Impreza. Samathia was under the knife for about 3 weekend. She underwent a complete Transmission swap with matching rear gear (4.11's), new t-belt, waterpump, t-stat, pvc, and half shaft. To ensure that Samathia's donor transmission would function for a while I installed a Perma-cool external tranny filter and t-stat, with a aux cooler to keep her blood temp down.
After the 3rd weekend and 2 transmissions later Samathia is good as new. This was a great project that was a lot of fun. There were 3 generations working on her, my dad who is 60, my son who is 12, and myself who is 32. I love my Samathia before and love her even more know. Here is a picture of her the night we finished up. More pics in locker and more to come. Steve
