At LAST! A local SVXr!

Last night on my way home from Home Depot I spotted a silver SVX parked in an unusual spot (DPW parking lot) right near my house!

I thought that it was the silver one I've spotted around town driven by an 'old' lady. As I was preparing my "welcome to the club card" two guys came walking up with a gas can.

Yup! They actually ran out of gas in an SVX.

Turns out the owner just got it a few months ago and was trying to make it (with yellow warning light on) to a better gas station.

Anyway, I almost bowled him over with my enthusiasm for this club. He'll probably be here looking for advice on 17" wheels. His car looks great, says he picked it up in Maryland.

He's installed a very nice new stereo and wished he had help from you all to do it. Now he does.

Needless to say he LOVES the car and seems very excited about the club and the READING meet.

Members...I think we have a new one!

Give him a warm welcome, as I'm sure you will.

If you read this, J. (I'll let him set his screen name) welcome aboard - the loony bin!

He lives in the next town over from me and he seems very excited to go to the Reading meet.

It's not so hard to run out of gas in an SVX. I ran out of gas the other night coming home from work. Ironically I was on my way to the gas station when it happened My gauge does not work but the sensor in the tank still does. The low fuel light had been on and I almost guessed the range correctly. Off by 1 mile

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I wait till nearly 400

400 is my limit. I've never run out of gas, but I have put nearly 18gallons in my 18.6 gallon tank!

Hey...sometimes ya gotta live on the edge.
