Ever thought about painting the area of the bumper where the front license plate mounts (where the two black screws/caps are) flat black? I think it would look good, especially on the lighter color cars where that part stands out and "breaks up" the "intake" area of the front end, making it obvious that it's only there for a front plate that you're not using.

Edit: The same goes for the red and pearl cars earlier in this thread, it was just most obvious on yours because those screws/caps really stand out. Really, this idea would apply to any color, other than Ebony I guess. Still not sure if it would be a good change or not though, maybe that wide bar in the middle adds some character to the front end.

Re: 2010 Calendar Photo

Gotta photochop off the plates in the last one. I did the first one, but the other two are older.

Also, great shots as always Tim.

That's a great idea since my bumper's starting to chip in that area anyway

Love the first one. Kudos to you, I imagine a black car is hard to meter for evenly. Did you bump the levels up in photoshop?

Re: 2010 Calendar Photo

hey huck I bought a pic from killboy from when we were at the dragon. I thought I heard they send you a copy of it electronically? do they that you know of do this? If not I ordered a print and it is a great pic so do you have any ideas on how to make it "online"?

I ordered a few in digital format on a CD from Killboy, and they emailed me a "key code" to download it on-line...AND sent me a CD a few days later...

If you ordered Actual Photos (Printed) I don't know if you'll get to download it or not...

PITA! I hate shooting black cars. The top one got colored in 4 layers (sky, BG mountains, FG, and car). Spent about an hour on that one. Every shot gets a levels adjustment. The bottom one I corrected for the car, and made the sky a little wonky as a result. I've got to take another swing at that one.

The only way I've found to get nice shots is to park in open shade, and overexpose 1/2 stop. Then dial that back down in Photoshop.
