Re: I have a weird issue....lets see what you guys think I should do

Ugh. If you weren't over 1,000 miles from me, I'd be in for a pair of black rust-free doors from a tan interior car.

Nobody seems to have good doors w/ bronze glass.

Re: I have a weird issue....lets see what you guys think I should do

pull the trannys even they are in unknown or even known to be bad condition. they can always be rebuilt. I wouldnt mind having a blown tranny to tear apart and have my dad rebuild to new.

also, windows, lights, radiator, hood, fenders, stuff that people take out when they hit bambis....etc.

I am in iowa and would come pick up parts. any of the cars the green that was in 92?
i would take complete doors with glass...

Basically just strip them all down to the bare frame and even take the whole subrame if everything is solid and suspension is still tight.

Re: I have a weird issue....lets see what you guys think I should do

None of these would by chance have aftermarket parts on them that you could tell...right? More specifically, suspension? Because...if one happens to have a ground control / koni combination on there, I want it.

It's a long shot I know, but...you know, dibs. just in case.

Jeez. Figures. You DO have my doors.

I don't suppose anyone's planning a road trip in a large-ish vehicle from near central WI heading closer to New York in the next few weeks that could help a brutha out...?? I'd offer up some delivery $$ and my undying gratitude? I want the doors off of that '97!

Re: I have a weird issue....lets see what you guys think I should do

I could even help out and meet them possibly as far down as Chicago at the end of July.... I think the power windows switch is broken on the one door

I don't see any aftermarket on any of these, and the motor on the 97 felt like its never been touched. Suspension, no clue....they are sitting without wheels....

The 92 looks like it may have smallcar clear headlights on it but I can't really tell from the yellowing.

I don't really care about a broken switch...all of the mechanical / electrical bits on my existing doors work great, but the shells are too far gone from rust to save. I'd just swap over any switches / other things as necessary, strip my old doors of anything of potential use, save those parts, and trash the rest. The rest of the car is OK, with only a couple small spots that need repair. There's no rust on those doors, right? Specifically at the middle seam? That's where they all seem to rust out, right at the seam where the lower cladding piece is held to the door in the center.

If you don't mind, could you PM me what you'd like for the doors, should I find some way to make this work out? I'm going to be traveling the last week of July, but may be available the weekend after. I'm almost thinking about road tripping it myself and swapping the doors on the spot. Especially if it's in Chicago...still far, but better than central WI.

BTW, save the grille from the '97. '97 was the only year the SVX came with that grille, and they didn't make many of them to begin with - putting it high on the sought after / rare SVX parts list. Ditto for the entire woodgrain interior set - lots of folks want to update their dark '92 - '93 woodgrain to the lighter 94+ pattern.

What kind of shape are the floor mats in in the '97? Are they factory?

Whats the difference? I can pull them tomorrow and try to clean them up. The corner lights on that car are gone/broken

Re: I have a weird issue....lets see what you guys think I should do

I think all PM's are sent and replied to. Any requests for any more pics/parts just PM me...
I've had a lot of requests for that 97' grill, and a few people told me to sell it for 75+ shipping
I can probably start a thread in the Wanted section, be more appropriate.

Continue here and mods plz close
