Well mine's an 8v Carb model, so rubbish really! Gone from 230bhp to 100bhp (& still not found it all!)!

I've had a 16v turbo 900 & that was rapid @ 175bhp! But my 9000 Carlsson was the best @ 210bhp (2.0l version is best, no stupid balancer shafts in the engine, 2.3l gives 230bhp but won't rev as freely!) & if u visit Abbott Racing, 300bhp is reachable!

So just depends what your after? if you can get a 900 Carlsson you'll be in for a real treat!
(& i know how to get rid of the reverse gear ignition lock too!)

Phil.

After watching Mike Brewer and Edd China tidy up a Saab 900 some time back on Wheeler Dealers I've had a hankering for a 900. A nice black one like they had.

Actually, one car I really fancy is, believe it or not.......a Mk IV Ford Zodiac. I had one years ago and got rid of it when I got engaged but I always felt it was unfinished business for me. An Executive version or one of the rare estates would be nice. My dad worked for Ford for 34 years so I grew up around all sorts of Fords, you name it, we had it. I love all those older ones.

Ford? Sounds familiar.

MK IV Zodiac. That the one with the cigarette box shaped body? Or the one with the wings at the back?

MK I Granada for me, esp the Ghia coupe. I have always liked big coupes, it's all I'll drive as Randy says.

Yeah, the Mk IV was the huge square thing with the bonnet like a snooker table......very American. I loved the bonnet mascot, a raised rectangle with a cross through it.......perfect for lining up traffic wardens.

And I like the Mk I Granada's too, memories of creeping downstairs as a kid after bedtime to peek at the latest episode of The Sweeney through the crack in the door. Ahhh happy days.
