Re: are yu0r headlights b0rken?

My buddy with a ranger has been using a martini glass as a headlight for nearly a year now.

BUT IT WORKS.

In all reality, catch a cop on even a half bad day and you could get some nice fines for something like this. Worse than just having a broken headlight.

How is it not legal? It works. I don't know of any laws specifically prohibiting something like this. Enlighten me, please.

Probably varies from state to state; even county to county. I doubt one would get hassled about something like that in these parts unless pulled over for some other offense; as is pretty much the case with enforcement of seat belt and cell phone ordinances.

Re: are yu0r headlights b0rken?

I do think there is an aiming issue . There is a height requirement( they pass that) but how far your headlight must project light might get you a ticket. Turn sig is probably ok

Ummm, you know that little thing on all of your brake, turn signal, headlight lenses, etc that says "DOT Approved" and then typically a number, or may just be a DOT stamp. Uh yeah, you need that. Anything without that is technically illegal.

for an extra $4.95, i will label these items "DOT Approved" with a Sharpie.

Re: are yu0r headlights b0rken?

Threads like this are why we keep Landshark around?
Really, why is the douchebag evo driver even a member here anymore..

Just look at the first page of results for his post.. 80% are attacking or making fun of svx owners.. if you look over his recent posts he adds nothing..

Congrats Landshark, you are the first person I have ever added to ignore in my entire history of using any forums.. You detract from the value of this forum.

Your 10,000 posts would not save you if I ever become a mod here..
Don't bother to respond to this as I will never click this thread again.

Edit post: ARRRRRG he still shows up when I used the "New Post" button!
What good is and ignore feature if his post still show up under "New Posts" ????
So telling us to use ignore is NOT a viable solution!
