Exclamation Mystery Part found in tranny pan.

Found this in the transmission pan when I went to change the internal screen/filter. It appears to be a sleeve or busher or spacer of some kind. Downloaded the pdf of the transmission but can't really tell if it's listed in the parts list.
Took some pictures, would be good to know if it's missing or just isn't supposed to be there. The magnet was also missing from the drain pan, so I'll have to find one of those also.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-) First time doing the filter/fluid change and well.. would be nice to know if it's got bits missing!

Re: Mystery Part found in tranny pan.

Can't say for sure, but it looks like one of the spacers that are fitted into the rubber mounts that the solenoid bolts go through. May be the C/B solenoids.

Harvey.

Re: Mystery Part found in tranny pan.

I guess I better start pulling things apart tomorrow and look for something missing. I looked at the pdf with transmission disassembly again and I think (not sure it's hard to tell) you might be right, I see a spacer on something between the group of 4 solenoids and the L/U solenoid. I am not much of an automatic transmission person so I have no idea what L/U or C/B stand for (first one I opened to be honest, hopefully the last). I'll pull it apart.

Looks like I am looking for a bolt floating around somewhere in here also. Well unless someone else did some tranny work on it before and just forgot to put back half the pieces..

Thanks again Harvey!

Christopher
