My silver car is toast....

We had an ice storm like no other last night and my silver car was hit by three tree limbs and damaged pretty bad... Windows blown out, roof crushed down. Pics coming later. I just got to a hotel where I will be living until we get power back and the roads cleared in central Mass. (they are saying a week is what we should expect)....

Sounds like a no (unless as a parts car), if the roof is actually crushed in.

Looking at those pictures is weird to me... Probably because I know how it should look. Those pics are of our lower driveway near our neighbors usually meticulously maintained yard.. Not only is his yard not even visible, but neither is his house. Where my car is sitting is usually a groomed gravel driveway...

From what I see, that might still be save-able within reason. Please let us know what we can do to help. We have all of that glass here in the shop and the roof doesn't look too bad. I know its hard to look at, but I'm sure it can be fixed.

I am going to brave the roads and go home tomorrow morning and get my pearlie out and put the silver away in the barn where it obviously should have been. The kicker out of this whole situation is that I JUST took the car off of the road for the winter..... That equals zero insurance....

I cannot bring myself to part this out and transfer the stuff to another car. I have a driverside door and OT has a rear window. I will pull the headliner off and see what I can do about getting the roof to go back into position. I will just need body work and a side window then. I may also take this time to install a cage in the car.....

As Mike said the roof still might be savable. I would definatly hit the hell out of the roof with a big dolly and a shrink hammer repeatedly. Then throw a crap load of bondo over the whole roof and pray it's flat. That really sucks.
