With the two 4cyl. pulses contained in the same side header pipe, the sounds combine to produce a longer single sound. The flat 4 VW engine sounds the same as the flat 4 Subaru engines for the same reason.

The six fires left, right, left, right, left, right, each side alternatively. So it will never produce the same type of sound.

Harvey.
I meant making a header design for our cars like the 4-cylinder wouldn't be hard.

I knew it still wouldn't sound the same, I just thought it wouldn't for a different reason.

I didn't know they fired like that though.

Re: SVX headers

I finally found a place with a GOOD deal on a 3-1 merge collector. If anyone is interested, go to http://www.headermania.com/mm5/merch...=COLLECTORS31C

Sure, there still needs to be some fabrication done, but owning an SVX is a lesson in fabrication in itself! lol

PLEASE! I have some pictures of Bob the fabricators on that eg swapped impreza, but it would be nice to see some that were used on the SVX.

I'm designing my own and doing a LOT of reading on resonance, diameters, primary length, etc... Just trying to find a good design to copy helps though, and finding decently priced parts never hurts your cause...
