Design is about thinking outside the box. Anyone who can do that and fabricate it has my respect.

Jerry I have no doubt in your potential, I am pretty sure you can do anything you like, when there is a will, a strong one, you can do anything...

This is how I was able to achieve what I did with my car.

What this guy did is an achievement over here. It is the first car that was mostly fabbed in Leb. I don't want to critisize the fiberglass works that was done, the accuracy, the way of work done, and the amount of bondo used... but if it was I doing that project, I would have at least, done the model entirely out of CLAY first. Then used plaster to take molds out of it, then the final FG phase...

I wish I can have some schematics on a previously done similar chassis, suspension used and mechanics install know-how. That outer design I am pretty sure I can also do fairly easy, beautiful and more accurate...

Re: Look What This Guy DID!!

This is alll the wrong way to do a custom fabbed car. Either you should have the machinery and equipment to fold metal sheets the way you like and start the welding process, or you should use CLAY for a preliminary shape then take from it the "lightweight" parts through a mold.

Is it that he used this clay and bondo thing for a PLUG and pulled a glass copy off of it? Then he could 'lose' all the filler and hang the fiberglass on a tube framework.
I 'dupped' a copy of a fender once when someone at work took the l rear fender off the duelie! I waxed the right one and made a 'single use' mold, pulled one and repaired the other side.

Actually the processes both of the above used are standard industry practices. The foam is cut, shaped, and then bondoed up and primered over to create the pattern. Then molds are made, and the pieces you see in the finished pictures are fiberglass parts from the molds, not the whole bondoed/foamed thing.

If you have $$, the foam can be cut by a giant CNC machine, but not often is that the case for most in the one-off custom car type world.

There are some other ones out there too. This one has an excellent step by step explanation & pictures:

Re: Look What This Guy DID!!

I think he's speaking more of the lithuanian guy making the car with the obnoxious proportions...And yes, he just foamed and filled everything. I dont like a single thing about that car's design and build

The original post, however...Sweetness. Still wanna know what kinda motor hes got in that thing

Do you think that the Russian guy did that?

I don't think so...
