Check out the pics against a Tribeca. Particularly the rear door and the rear quarter window.

What we are being asked to buy here is a Tribeca with a revamped nose and four cylinder engines.

Yuck

It is a third mirror commonly found on JDM vehicles which helps the driver from preventing their ride from hitting the curb or another car while squeezing into a tight parking space, because there are plenty of those situations in Japan.

If they ever wanted to make this an option for US cars they would need to put it on the other side.

either way, the whole thing has stooped to the levels of an americian built suv. Something like this line shouldnt be said to make a good impression
"New interior materials, including double-stitched fabrics and high-grade plastics"
Unfortunately small SUVs are not only selling better in the US but are now increasing in Japan and Europe. And you know capitalism like darwinism captures the feeling of adapt or become extinct. Even though I agree it is dumn to define the quality of plastics it seems to be all the rage anyway (go to the 3:50 minute mark).

Whatever happened to panels wrapped in padded vynal? or like, REAL leather? cars today are tactile garbage unless you shell out some serious dough, and even then they just arent the same as a well built car of 10 years ago.

looks like Ill be buying used for a while
I can sum it up in two words, cost and environmentalism. I for one hope to see Alcantara fibers, rubberized coating and Memory Foam become more affordable as well as enviromentally friendly in the future.

I'll have to ask the wife what see thinks. She loves the 2007, but wanted the regular model, I held out for the Sports model. I love the anthracite interior over the tan.
