Working Scale Model Ferrari; Correct in Every Detail
Larry III sent this to me.
And you thought that we were really anal about SVXes? This is nothing short of pure obsession and insanity. He made every part of a scale model 12 cylinder, fuel injected engine from scratch; pistons, valves, etc., including a working transmission that operates through a clutch and shifter. tachometer revs with engine speed. Video of a guy's 15 year hobby, a perfectly scaled Ferrari model that runs and functions exactly as the original... Most amazing piece of micro-engineering I have ever come across! And he wants to do it all over again! .

Crazy. I marvel at people with such talent and dedication to task. With an aging body, an old house and two old cars to maintain, being lazy as I am, a fraction of that brand of motivation would be a godsend.

i dont know man you spend that much time on model cars and your bound to be single... how ever my question if you can build a scale model of a engine and make it run has finaly been answered

The thought of having to create minature plugs, injectors crankshaft and camshafts from scratch, and have it all work, makes my head hurt.
Not to mention all the tiny bolts needed to hold the engine internals together, like connecting rods... .
