Any other SVXers out there playing World of Warcraft? I never thought i'd play it but my brother got me hooked about a month ago. I swear this game is like crack!

i've really never played online games before until recently.....unless you count the 5 minutes i tried a free trial of Everquest when i got a new computer, but it only took me that long to decide that it was frickin' stupid.

anyways, i've been playing Resistance:Fall of Man online the last couple days on the PS3 and its pretty fun (and free! )

I've been playing WoW since launch. I had a 60 UD Rogue and a 60 UD Warrior on Mal'Ganis Horde, then I sold it and "quit". That lasted about a month. I re-rolled on Mal'Ganis Alliance and got a 60 Gnome Rogue decked out in Tier 2 gear. I sold him in November and "quit for good."

...I just caved and bought the game again last week. I'm to lv 25 on an UD Rogue on Maelstrom RP-PVP. Looking forward to Burning Crusade!!

I also play have a 60 mage and an upcoming warlock. have been on several servers, Hellscream was the first. Shadow council is the current and will be the last, shaman sometime shortly after the expansion and my 60 makes it to 70.

How much does a person usually get for a maxed out character?

I don't know about Warcraft, but a friend of mine sold a character for Star Wars Galaxies for $2000 on Ebay a while back.

But then from what I've heard about developing these characters, that works out to about 30 cents an hour.

Not in his case. From what I understand of that game when you start you are randomly given a character with certain attributes. Since it's Star Wars certain characters are "Force sensative", ie; can become Jedi....These characters are incredibly rare. My friend got one, turned around and sold it for 2 grand.

Pennies an hour. I sold the account with 2 lv60 characters with mediocre gear for $150US and then I sold the really geared lv60 for $300.

Right now, lv60 WoW characters are going for 50-100 even in high-end gear because the expansion comes out Jan 16 and the level cap is upping to 70, rendering any current gear obsolete in a few days. I'm glad I sold when I did.

Edit: I had 1600 hours (~67 days /played time) on the well-geared rogue, and sold it for $300, so... 18.75 cents per hour.
