Gran Turismo 4 review...

I'm surprised that no one has posted this yet. I can't be the only one who has it. I picked up my copy last night at GameZone...then proceeded to play until 2AM.

I'm sure it's no surprise that this game is awesome, so I won't waste any time with that. There are more cars than anyone could possibly need. Probably the best improvements are the tracks...i've already run over 20 races and haven't seen the same track twice. There are TONS of tracks. World Circuits, City Courses, Mission Courses, Scenic Courses...there's a drag strip (Las Vegas), and a testing ground with a slalom course and skidpad. They have Nurburgring, Infineon, Talladega, Firebird, Sears Point, Motegi...some of my favorites. Also the physics engine is much improved. Yes it's more realistic...but it also allows for more fun...powerslides are very easy to induce and very realistically controllable, and when you hit another car, both cars react exactly as they should. No more brick-wall-like opponents.

I can say for sure that there is no SVX...sorry. There also is no Trans Am

Lastly, but probably most importantly, you can import your licenses and up to $100,000 from your GT3 memery card. So no more struggling along the beginner courses in a Daihatsu.

I highly recommend this game to anyone who loved GT3.

Go get it.

I declined that option - I savor the time it takes to build up steam in the GT games.

i'd rather see a WS6 than a damn Camaro. <yawn>

i know they tried to put some "history" in the game, but i'm sure the SVX would be a more useful car in a racing game than the 360. i'm sure more people are aware of it, too, because even a lot of Subaru owners don't even know what a 360 is. who the hell is actually gonna use that thing in a race????

I won the Cadillac Cien today!!

That thing DOMINATES!

I'm really unhappy with the penalties in rally courses. First, they are way too penalty happy...and second...your opponent is not subject to the same rules. My favorite is when the computer car cuts me off, and I get penalized!!! Man that's fun!!!!

Auto Modellista had a 360. You could swap in a Skyline engine and it still was crap.

And finnaly got some time to play the game today. I love the oldies, nothing like a Model T vs. MB motor carrige race.

No SVX but we can alway substitute with the Delorian

I can't wait to win an 88 Accord so I can put a big wing on the back and some blinging wheels. I already did it to that little beast they give you when you win the Sunday cups.

I think the truck races are cool, I want the Chevy SS concept truck, it looks sweet.

The tracks are awsome, totaly awsome, and the diversity of cool funky cars rocks. Hello split window beetle? Hello Karman Gia? Jay Lenno Tank car. Love it!!!

Any one know where to pick up NOS?
