Mr. Wizard?
Conducting a test, I have rusty parts for the svx that I can't bear to put back on. I would normally wire brush them and paint, but a few months down the road they look like crap. This stuff is mostly nuts and bolts, what else can be done to make them look new again? Oh I forgot the test! I have two containers one filled with soda and the other with vinegar, I'm going to let them sit overnight and see which one eats more rust. If you have any input on this other than get a life, let me know.

Eastwood makes two products that work great for this.
The first one is a dry media tumbler. put the small parts in, turn it on overnight and the parts will be rust free. Then use either their cad plating or the chemical blackening kits to give them a great finish.
