Done, for now

I had a great time meeting some of you. and someday I'll probably get another SVX, right now I've had enough though. the SVX is in the same category as sport bikes for me now (a lot of fun, but way too dangerous for me to have fun with), darn gas pedal. quick story short- i hit a ditch at about 60-80 MPH after having way too many beers. Head bounced off the driver side window (apparently) and i don't even remember the accident at all. you all know the moral of that story...

+ -> +

be safe and enjoy.

Wow, bummer! I hope you weren't hurt.
When you get your licence back, buy a 4 cylinder Volvo wagon.

Re: Done, for now

Good point. Drinking and driving is as dumb a thing you can do.

Thats why I just sleep in my car with the keys tucked behind a tire. See here in Wisconsin you can get a OWI if you are drunk in your car and the keys are 'within reach'. And believe me, they love to get anyone they can by using any stretch of the imagination to charge and convict people.

USE A DD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or have a friend come pick you up

+1 Drunk driving is one of the few crimes, i have no problem with them taking your license for a long period of time for.

The car..made of metal, but your stupidity could have cost someone their life or your own. Smart drinkers get designated drivers or just stay the hell home..I have no pity for you or any troubles that come about from this incident.

Any negative responses you get, you deserve...posting up your irresponsibility on a public forum.

Re: Done, for now

Alright, lets not beat the guy to death here. Everyone knows drinking and driving is dumb. He learned a lesson that will last him quite some time, hopefully, and there was minimal damage, so lets be happy for what didn't happen. If you grill the guy to death, the next person with a lapse of judgement will surely not say a thing, and no one can potentially learn from their mistakes. Lets keep it somewhat friendly around here, huh?

Glad you're ok, don't do dumb stuff, perhaps your next experience with an SVX will be better.
