Your just not hip to SVX accessories yet.
The factory cupholders in a SVX suck. Its a little plastic tray the clips to the lid of the center console and you need to remove it to set it in the console.
Its lame and doesnt work well at all.
BUT, theres a plastic 2 cup unit that you can get at just about all auto parts stores (and Wallys).
And its called a Wedgie and it fits in between the center console and passenger seat.

That is a pretty nifty feature if it can keep the cups in tight enough to prevent them from swaying but loose enogh to prevent the enertia from flying the liquid all over the place. The only problem is it looks like it takes up the entire glove compartment.

I still can't figure out where to put the so called cup holder that came with the SVX.

I can't believe I completely missed that reply. Anyway I must be a real dummy because I tried but never managed to get the stock cupholder to stay there.

I've conceded that the only way to keep mine in place is either with super glue or a full taco bell mega size cup and light cornering to keep it upright.
