Talking Mmmmmm......doughnuts.....

God I love having a Subaru! We got 3 inches of snow here in small town Va (big whoop), so i decided to take my SVX "Black Betty" on a little doughnut trip in the snow covered fields around my house. My family has 425 acres of land, all of which is now just snow with circular tire marks in it. I swear, from the air they probably look like crop cirles

Anyone have a similar off roading experiance?

similar experience? hah. TONS.

except mine tend not to be in fields.. in my experience you never know when you're going to find a rock or stump at the wrong time.. I guess if I OWNED the fields I used as racetracks, I'd make sure they were cleared out during the summer so my winter fun would be safe and uninterrupted.

generally my donut-related activity takes place in remote, empty parking lots late at night DURING the storm so that the cops have better things to do with their time than go looking for hooligans like me

I'd like to have similar experiences but there's nowhere around here I could do that.

I just did that yesterday onthe way home from skiing I stopped in a state park and made donuts inthe snow covered parking lot.

I found out the SVX handles a lot better in snow driving in reverse. It's very hard to get the front wheels to slide out while going backwards. Hmmm.........

Donuts and other pastries...

Amazonparrot,
I don't know about donuts, but I'm enjoying some great waffles at the moment....

Charlottesville....ah yes. That's where I was hatched many years ago.

I was the only thing of importance happening in the University of Virginia Hospital around 8PM of the evening of June 15, 1949.

All I can remember, is that the nurses were pretty.... Don

Mine, was actually on a little mountain here (Dead Mans, haha)
I only took the car a few yards, when I stopped(A stupid mistake) I did get stuck, because the snow was just too deep!. The next thing I know, some cute guy in a truck drives around me, smiling. I didn't want to look that stupid, so I kept on trying to get unstuck. It worked. I did get out without help, but maybe I should have let that guy help me. I found a new way to meet guys! LOL

(I live in a small town, not alot of choices when it comes to guys)
