"Quick off the line but slow after that"? He obviously has never gone up against one of them or owned one...lol. But they did get the overheating auto tranny thing right

I'd love to know if it was someone from the board here that raced the Protoge. I know acceleration does wonderful things ot pliable objects but for goodness sake man, it's not worth crashing your SVX to look at your GF's headlights!

From 50 mph even my '97 SVX eats Stangs. In the wet, it eats them from 0 mph. Two times in downpours = 2 SVX wins.
These are stock 5L Stangs not modified.
I you do the stoplight thing in the rain do not line up on the right side of a Stang, Camaro or Firebird. They will probably slide into you (been there and almost got keeeeeer-runched). Line up on the oppositions left side.

There is a guy where I work that has a Rouse Mustang. I don't know what is in it.

I noticed the town, but, refulsed to point it out, or mention the name. Unconciously, my blood pressure escalates, even at the word. Makes it hard to go to the bank.

It's typical that the first thing the guy wants to do is race the SVX.
