Thanks for correcting me on that. My point is still valid that the ECU should not throw a pressure sensor code for a missing TCU, Probably some other codes.

skuby98, I don't think anybody knows exactly what codes your ECU will throw for a missing TCU. Why don't you try it and find out then come back when you actually have a problem to solve? Otherwise we're just speculating about solutions to problems that may not even happen.

Actually, in your application, you would be better off getting a standalone ECU because you will be able to tune it. I'm pretty sure that nobody has cracked the OBD2 SVX ECU and it's unlikely that anybody will bother for such a small market. So if you use with the stock ECU then you will be limited to 230hp.

Re: swapping a auto for a 5spd on obdII

There are flashed ECM's for wrx's that just keep it in ready for the IM monitors for the OBDII system. just run a seperate harness for the ECU if you really want to keep it stock. Talk to Boxer6 about his EG33 transplant he has running.

Phil, someone had posted the code a while back when they swapped a 96... I forget off the top of my head but it was a comm. error code for the TCU
