Radiator alternatives?

The stock radiator and fans are too big for my Eg33 swap. What are the other alternatives for a more compact radiator? What other models fit well? Any help will be apreciated!

Re: Radiator alternatives?

What are you swapping into? We're mostly interested in what fits the SVX, so you're going to have to measure your car and see what's available for it.

99 LGT

What is my best way to size it though? Do I take a BTU rating and a CFM rating? I found a couple that might work with low profile fans.

Re: Radiator alternatives?

You will have to custom fit slim and effective fans instead. The EG33 will not work with any smaller rad than the stock.

Re: Radiator alternatives?

I've seen a few different options, not sure if I'd recommend some. Stock Leg or SVX rad moved forward cutting the rad support out. Same rads, in front of the rad support but mounted lower than stock. Finally, smaller custom rad moved forward not cutting the support. Some of the methods required either slim fans or pusher fans in front of the radiator.

Re: Radiator alternatives?

Thanks for the info. I hear older rx-7s and Sabb 900s work too. I just need to get the cooling amount needed from a Eg33 to size up other radiators.
