Need some plastic repair suggestions, non-SVX
Today my wife bashed the roof top luggage carrier while pulling into a parking garage. I just took it off and I think it may be fixable. Only problem is that there are now some big cracks in it that are going to let the rain in. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a product that might be able to seal those cracks. It doesn't have to look pretty.

I've used a torch and a screwdriver to "weld" plastic...

Try an auto body supply store. There are several specialized epoxies made to mend plastic bumpers.

Re: Need some plastic repair suggestions, non-SVX
Get enough heat and I could see that happening. Problem is, with a torch there isn't much difference between melting and burning...

Re: Need some plastic repair suggestions, non-SVX
Don't take the torch to the plastic, just use it to heat the screwdriver
