I have seen a resprayed SVX in black, not the original colour.

Talk to Subaru Penrith for the bonnet struts. He had a guy come in with replacement struts for one of mine for a lot less than $100 apiece.

That describes it perfectly.

Can anybody from Australia tell us what name Fuji gave to paint code 222 on Australian sales brochures? This is the name we would prefer to put into the Aus / NZ column. If this name is Charcoal, fine. If this name is Graphite, that's fine, that's what we will use.
I can't shed any light on this but I will endever to find out.

How do you like the 4ws? I don't believe any Oz delivered models had that option.

Very very very nice. You're a lucky man.
I think I must have seen pics of it before. That is why I thought we must have got the 235 here. Thanks for clearing that up.

I see your silver one has had a manual conversion. How do you find it compared to the auto? Is it genuinely faster? Does it have any of the downsides that you read about?

thanks i snapped it up as soon as i saw it for sale. the manual is definitely faster off the line then the auto and uses heaps less petrol and is so much more fun to drive. i haven't had any of the problems that people talk about except my speedo is not working but is fixable

That looks like a Charcoal Grey to me........

..........and you can check by looking at the build plate mounted next to the strut tower in the engine bay. That will have the paint code on it. My guess is that it would be "222".

Jason.

Colour Charts

It's hard to believe it, but it is now 2 years ago since John Hoffman and I had a go at doing up the available colours chart for the SVX.

If you lads want to have a look, read up the following thread, it's only 4 pages long, and has a lot of information about different markets:

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=36368

There are links near the end to the most updated spreadsheets.

There are also only a few areas where we do not have "hard" as opposed to anecdotal [ " I saw a Richard Burns black SVX on Burley St last week" ]

Among these gaps in information we don't have actual copies of Oz or NZ catalogues giving us the codes of the paints available, nor what the local Subaru marketing people called these colours.

So any of you Down Under guys who might have this info, we would appreciate scans so we can finish the archive.

Thanks

Joe

The distinction between the grey paint of the body, and the black paint of the trunk lid can only be seen when the light hits the body at the right angle!

Well the proof is in my driveway the paint code is 235 and we actually looked at another one when this car was bought it was the same colour and it looks like it'll be mine soon too

Great information cam. So I take it that your car is Australia supplied then, not an import, and the colour is 235 Ebony Mica?

Great. We'll add that colour choice to the spreadsheet for Australia.
