I've been here a pretty long time now and people know I try to do nothing but speak the truth and state facts and right now I see them like this: Ever since you arrived here you have done almost nothing but try to pick fights and force your opinions on people and I feel you need to tone it down just a notch and quit being so critical of every little thing. We are a family here and we tend to get along and you seem to go against that grain on purpose and it gets old to people.
Your also not helping stop the stereotypes that your offended by with all the fussing, fighting and negative attitude and so on over 1 little picture that had nothing to even do with race in the situation it was used. The guy in that picture could have been yellow, red, purple, or pokadotted and it would have still had the same meaning to me when I read the thread and then saw the picture. All I'm saying is lighten up a little and if you have nothing good or informative to say or ask, Don't say or ask it.

Well, THAT's the THEORY of the 'compassion nazzies".
Since I spent 7 hours being 'taught' how to be 'KINDER, more compassionate' Etc.. and the others chose to 'miss' the class, I guess that I am more 'Kind and Compassionate' than them! ( actually, I just scored more 'points' with the boss), and have a better working knowlege of what the A.C.L.U. is looking to base the next million dollar LAWSUIT on.
I really NEED this job and will go to all the BS classes that they pay for so I can keep working there for the next 11 years.

As for being 'on topic,. When you are spinning your wheels, someone else is MOVING. Drifting is best left to RC cars. If you can drift in an SVX on dry road, you need better tires! SVX's don't LIKE spinning. They would rather 'GET ER DONE'. All I know fer sure is that I have only auto-X'ed in Subarus and have beat about everything out there. Porsche, Corvette, Audi, Mustang, Cobra.

It's more about the driver....

What are you talking about? I am not fighting with anybody here, I am merely saying that I find that image offensive. If I posted an image that offended you, I would hope you'd have the guts to tell me as well. Apart from this topic, what are you referring to?

*IF* Subaru wanted to compete with the NSX, I would put it to you that they could have been close in the mid 90's

The EG33 with proper rework of the block to full "turbo" standards, heads updated to the equal of the 2nd gen WRX/STi heads, and the early mitsu turbo from the early WRX would have provided an easy safe relaible 300+ HP. Wieght would have dropped as by this time the turbo 5spd was far stronger than it was in 1991, and could be used. Weight reduced to a minimum by building it as a "Type-RA". Wider flares front and back to allow bigger tires provides the grip.

So the wieght plummets to near NSX levels, the engine gets NSX HP or greater (the 276 is an advertised limit, not a real limit), higher torque, and a manual transmission that can somewhat take the the abuse.

If you took the SVX shell today, a EG36 based on the EJ257/EJ255 could belt out 300+HP NA with ease, 5spd or 6spd transmissions that last "forever", brembo brakes, etc.

Whats the point? The STi has long destroyed the NSX for performance on shorter tracks, closed the gap very tight even on tracks where the NSX used to shine due to balance and lateral grip.... etc.

That said, If I found $250million lotto ticket on my doorstep, I would use it to get Subaru to make the SVX again. Same basic styling, EG36 in turbo and non-turbo, either the legacy or the tribeca platform depending which works best, 450HP for the turbo version, etc. etc. etc.

basicly belt out a $50K supercar with a $35K coupe little brother. Might lose ones shirt doing so, or might sell a hell of alot of other subarus based on the free free marketing.
