^ What kinda 60fts are those typhoons cpable of? A 1.7 60ft seems like a pretty well stuck launch in my books!

of course... but I can see the truck get kinda squirly off the line which leads me to believe if he sticks it well he should improve considerably

Could someone please educate me.

I have never been interested in forms of motor sport which do not involve corners. What is meant by, "sticking it"? Is the vehicle depicted running a manual or automatic transmission? Was the start dictated by signal, or at the drivers discretion?

Its an automatic... Its merely drag racing Trevor... Once the light it green... yo go the best you can... It is a good way to be able to tune A motor at wot without having a dyno.

Great...now we've got an SUV that smokes us by 2+ seconds in the 1/4 I'm really getting tired of not having an SVX in the 12s (hint, hint old and young Toms! )

OK. Tom, So reaction time is involved.

With all this talk about performance testing, I thought that by arrangement with the track, it might be possible to be timed from actual start. Timing gear I built for my club had provision for the use of a pneumatic switch, placed close under the front of a wheel, at a fixed distance of an inch or two. It became known as, the hockey stick.

nice, real nice

But seriously....I finished the porting and polishing of the heads over a month ago and I think I've finally found someone local to do the valve seats, guides/seals, and dish the intake spring pockets a couple of thousands to get back the clearance I'm loosing using LAN's helper springs. Cams have been sitting on the shelf for around 2 months. STi rods even longer. Got a box full of new gaskets, o-rings, front covers, T-belt, etc. from SubaruParts. Actually got the right part numbers for Clevite main and rod bearings directly from Clevite. Have to find the time to crack the block so I can get the STi rods balanced up with the stock pistons and figure out what size rings I'm going to need. So, I'll probably be done around the same time you are
Got a few other things I'm working on now that might be hazardous to the health of the engine currently in BillStock v4, once I can trace down exactly why the steering has gotten heavy (finally pulled codes today - got "2 flashes" and "5 flashes", so I've got to break out the ohm meter now...)
-Bill (kinda liking the "Action Bill" handle )

you might want to have the rods weighed... Don't forget you need a weight matched set of 6 not just any 6. The eagles are so friggin nice man either way... sounds like I will be hitting Atco within the next week or two... Maybe even this week if I can run on monday or tues
