My first SVX. Pics.
Hey people. I just bought my first SVX. Its a 1994 Subaru SVX LSL AWD. Its black with tan interior. It has 84,XXX miles on it. One problem it over heats, so i proceeded on replacing the thermostat. I flushed the system completely, till the water was clear. So i put everything back in place and still over heats. Is it the water pump? When the car is hot i don't get hot air through the vents. Anyone can help me Thanks. Heres some pic of the car....

Wow! That's one good looking SVX!
How fast is it overheating? Is it linear in it's increase, or becomes gradual once it hits the halfway mark?

Very nice SVX! When you filled it back up with coolant did you fill it through the radiator cap with all of the hoses in place? If so you may have trapped air. Was that hit in the front? If you need a hood emblem I have one for the taking.

Make sure both your electric fans (behind the radiator are running). Make sure that your water pump is turning (check the belt) Good Luck.

Yes i know the wheels are on backwards, for now thats the least of my worries.
I have had other cars in the past and i have done 90% of the work on it my self. The radiator hoses and fans are plugged in. Everything is plugged in and works. Radiator fans kick in when the car gradually gets hot like usual. When the car idles it doesn't over heat, but when you drive it, it starts going up. Ohhh well i am taking it to the dealership to get it looked at. From my past experience i have been very stubern and would put parts on the car and still won't fix the problem. So now i will let the pros handle it. BTW i got a good deal on the car.
