Radio Shack Pt#'s for limit switches?
Does anyone have this info? Now that I got them the relevant pages from the Manual, my indy shop has pulled a CODE 15 on my seatbelt system (erratic) and I wanted to go ahead & just get 4 sets for both the doors. Are they the same Pt# (I hope!)????
Thanks to any and all who respond as I know this is a subject much discussed: I tried the Search but never did get the Radio Shack Pt#. Cheers! Norm

Over 24 hours, 19 reads and...
...ZERO (Zilch, Zip, None, Nada, NO-How & NO-WAY!) response?
Is this a(nother) stupid question of mine? Cheers! Norm

Not stupid at all. I dont have the part numbers but they are easy to find. Check out my locker for pics of the switches. Go to the back of the store where they have all thestuff in the drawers. Go to the drawer labeled "switches" they sell two types of microswitches. One with a "roller switch" and one just with the normal metal switch. Just buy the package that says "Microswitches" I believe they only have two different kinds. If not give me a hollar I might be able to find the part number somewhere in my mess

Went to Radio Shack
Left a PM for 96svxer as i found a part # 275-016A SPDT Submini Lever Switch with contacts rated as 5A @ 125/250 VAC. There is also a roller type switch, but neither look like the pictures in his locker:
the switch is black, about an inch long, a half wide and a third thick, there is no curve at the end of the lever, the contact attachments are on the back (bottom? )of the switch and are marked as 1 3 2 on one side with the corresponding terminals marked as G NO (in the middle) and NC... I'm stumped! Cheers, anyway! Norm

Sorry I was out of town on business. Yeah I think that is the right switch you are talking about it was called the "Submini Lever Switch" There was two of them one with a rollar end and one with a flat end. Get the ones with the flat end. Pop out your bad ones, pop in your new ones, should have the exact same moutning holes, and bend your switch arm to the needed angle and you are set. Make sure you connect the correct wires to the NO Normally open, and NC Normally closed contacts. If unsure use a voltmeter.
PS Sorry for the confusion I ment the ones in my locker are the original Subaru ones, the radio shack ones look similar except they have straight levers. Last edited by 96svxer; 01-17-2005 at 06:25 AM. |
