Legacy Transmission Install??

I've searched the board about this topic. I have a transmission from a '91 Legacy with a 4:11 ratio. I'm in the process of obtaining a rear differential with the same ratio to have the internals switched with my SVX differential.

I just found out that I'll need the Legacy flexplate since I'm using the Legacy torque converter. This should not be a problem.

I don't see anything about which starter to use. I guess I need to know if my original SVX starter will still work considering the Legacy flexplate/transmission case????

I was under the assumption the transmissions were practically the same with the SVX box having a few extra clutch packs but I swear the Legacy box looked smaller. I'll have to wait till I have them side by side. I just had a quick look at the Legacy box in the car when I was at the salvage yard and it just looked small to me.
