coolant oder

I am noticing a slight coolant smell after using my 92'LSL. Also I noticed a few green drops on the passenger side, but the heater core hoses were both dry. Any thoughts on what might be leaking? I had a new water pump put in a year and a half ago. Where's the thermostat, maybe that's it?

Thanks for any help.

Pray that it isn't a headgasket. That's a HUGE job on the 3.3L

i'll start praying...

There hasn't been any increase in coolant temperature, or any lingering whitish smoke out the tailpipes... So I hadn't thought it'd be a head gasket thing.

You noticed a few green drops where - on the ground or in the cabin?

And you can smell it when - outside the car or in?

Not the thermostat/housing. It's on the driver's side, on the engine end of the lower radiator hose.

The t-stat is located in the front of the waterpump.
If you have a few drops of green stuff on the passanger side check the drain plug. It is on the passanger side and has an o-ring on it. The other thing is it could be from your top rad hose.

Bingo! My mechanic did a pressure test and a tiny little green stream came out of the upper hose...

Thanks for all the help.
