I voted for climate control, I too like the outside temp but to me thats still a part of the climate control system The fog light thing isn't really a feature, it's required by law.

I like the winter sensor hood strut auto-slam feature, and the under-hood stealth light. I would like to like the steering wheel stereo controls, but hey, I coulda' bought a Buick too!
OK - auto lights off. Probably disgusts the Die-Hard & Exide lobby, but should be standard on all vehicles. Ron (auto time-out turn signals should be do-able, no?)

Climate control, definitely
The climate control is the only feature I really need and appreciate that I haven't had, in one form or another, any of my former cars. I've had automatic headlights with daytime running lights and headlights that dimmed to parking lights when the key was turned off. My Prizm shows the outside temperature (at all times -- I don't even have to push a button!) Most cars (if not all) have a control to dim/brighten the dash lights. I'm afraid to use the foglights, because people keep flashing me, thinking they're my highbeams. The wipers are nice, but cosmetic only. As far as things "turning off by themselves", they should have been consistent; I usually forget to turn off my outside mirror heater because the button is difficult to see from the driver's seat.
The climate control, on the other hand, is invaluable for those long trips (2 1/2 hours back and forth from Pittsburgh to Cumberland once or twice a week) at varying speeds -- I don't have to keep adjusting the fan speed and/or temperature every time I speed up or slow down according to traffic/known speed traps, etc. I stay comfy-cozy for the whole trip!

winter hood slam feature
Thanks, Ron.
The earlier models (1992) have the "auto-hood-drop-on-wrench-turner's-head" feature without the climate sensor attached so you can use the feature all year 'round. I disabled mine with the "custom wooden hood prop" mod. -Pax |

Yeah, we have lovingly named that feature, "getting Rufused" ro, "pulling a Rufus," in honor of him sharing the security video of him getting "munched" by his hood.

My favorite feature in the '97 SVX is the rear floor mats, which exude the aroma of fine scotch. Thanks for customizing them, Ron.

The cool thing about all of these is that though most of them (or even more advanced versions of them, sit down in some modern luxury cars and the SVX looks like a Pinto) can be found on a lot of today's cars, almost all of them were unheard of, at least all on the same car, in 1992.
It was definitely ahead of it's time.

i chose the temp outside choice simply for the reason that for all the car has to offer, it is the button/accessory that I use most, just for S and G.

carbon DIOXIDE, Randy. I understand that most of us are motorheads, and from time to time actually exhale carbon Monoxide.

I was away skiing at Jay Peak and just read thru this.
Tough choices no doubt I agree. I did not know about the fog light shut off law and I never really paid attention to the headlight lights shutting off when the SVX is off. That is nice indeed.
