1.Stock tranny mount.

2.The peice of the 5 speed mount that acctually bolts to the tranny mount.

3. The two brackets that bolt to the rear of the front subframe. (you will have to support the sub frame when you remove these but you will be able to put the big bolt back in to hold the subframe wile you wait.)

Are you still up for this, Subafreak? I've gotten through the Challenge and am getiing started on this. I'm ready to send you a few parts. If you don't want to pursue it, that's OK, just let me know.

I need some clarification on the above. #1- Do you mean the stock tranny center mount, or the crossmember? #2- "The piece of the mount that bolts to the mount?" Huh? Do you mean a 5spd tranny mount that bolts to the crossmember? Or are you referring to a bracket that attaches the mount to the manual tranny? #1&#2- I think you're saying you use 1/2 the manual tranny center mount, and 1/2 the stock tranny center mount- right? #3- Do you mean the left and right stock tranny mounts?

If you're are not up for it, we'll probably try ourselves. Just let me know.

Thanks!

If subafreak doesn't have time/interest, the guy who did my 5MT swap may be willing to make up some x-members. Mine's finished, and my mechanic is thinking about making a jig for the x-member. I haven't seen my car yet, but JENKIN stopped by my mechanic's shop on Wednesday to bring my 4eat and other assorted goodies to my house (the shop is about 200 mi from my house), and he got a look at the x-member on the car. His exact words were that it was, "a work of art" and that it looked like it belonged on a race car. My mechanic took pictures, but he hasn't had time to get them developed yet. I'll check with him again today to see if he's decided whether he'll make a jig.

I'm still interested in a good crossmember if I can't figure one out
myself I will be looking at Alex_umn car tomorrow
might be buying his 5spd setup instead of going my route
with 93 Legacy cable setup. we'll see.
hydraulic clutch setup scare me...

I will know soon though about the crossmember
If I need to buy one from somebody.

I would rather know it is done right than first time fabricated
by me and have to spend time with changes and revisions.

my lil update

Yeah, I,m still gona make some. I plan on bringing Dougs to Reading with me to give to him. (IF I get his parts)
Anyway for the parts I meen. #1 The stock tranny crossmember. #2 The 5 speed crossmember is 3 peices, 2 peices that bolt to the chassis of the car and another peice that bolts across thoes 2 peices and the tranny mount acctually bolts to. I need that center peice.
#3 There are 2 traigular shaped brackets that bolt to the back of the front crossmember (the crossmember that the motor and suspension are bolted to) They have one long bolt that bolts through crossmember and two shorter bolts that go into the chassis. "Make sure to support crossmember or it will fall on your head when you take these out"!

Wow, you dug this up from the past. What happend with all you other guys that needed one? I guess you got them.

Anyway, yeah I'm still making them, kinda. I had to pull the tranny out of my template car to put back in my Legacy, but I do have another tranny to use. The other thing is that I pushed the car down back for the winter to make room up top. How much of a rush are you in for this? I didn't plan on making anymore untill spring and right now I don't have any parts left to make more. Let me know, if you need it NOW and you can send me the parts, I'll get one done for you as soon as I can.

I'm still here, and actually still need one. It was sounding like it was a bit of a pain and perhaps unrealistic to think you could do these, so I kind of decided to try it myself.

Then I built my shop......while the car sat.

Then I installed a lift..........while the car sat.

Then I learned to weld........while the car sat.

Then I put the car on the lift.........and it's still sitting.

I'm less than an hour from re-installing the tranny, and it's a breeze with a lift. I just can't find the time to get back to it.

Could have something to do with having 5 kids, or maybe running my business, or maybe starting a new business, or maybe having a wife who occasionally wants to see me, or maybe I'm just lazy!

If it was easy and you had them sitting around and could ship them off, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. But it sounds like you are as wrapped up as I am, so I guess I'll just sit.

If you get to building any, build an extra and I'll buy it!

I'm sorry...did you say FIVE kids! You Poor SOB! No wonder you can't get any thing done. I'm in the same situation but with 2 1/2 less kids.

I would love to have a bunch hanging around already made but I just don't have the parts. If any of you guys have the spare parts I need please send them my way so I can get these things together.

Oh.

Perhaps the congratulations I was going to offer you are not as appropriate as I thought.

Then again, "Congrats on making the 1/2 status!"
