My senior year in high school, my girlfriend was driving to my house to meet me for dinner...the road she was on had embankments on both sides probably about 10 feet up. So she was driving down this road probably too fast, when...apparently...a rabbit jumped off the right side embankment (i assume intending to cross the street, with bad timing), and promptly bounced off the windshield. She explains the sight of a broken rabbit flying through the air behind her car as "sad", i would have given anything to see it myself.

No...I'd say Randy would have flipped the bird, eh?

Well as a Canadian, I want to thank you RWJ for thinking of us even if it was because of a near-goose experience!

The awesome vehicle that has captured our hearts and brings us together, transcends all borders.

I am a new owner. I've piloted a 92 Pearly White for exactly 2 months, and I absolutely love it! I have never driven a nicer vehicle!

I am especially grateful for the assistance and support this site provides. Whether it is advice on what to do, what not to do, where to find parts, or group buys, this network is an incredibly valuable resource for all SVX owners.

I'm honoured to be among your number.

Thanks again from the Great White (Pearly) North!
Scott

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I'd like to refresh the thread to its original purpose and, once again, pay homage to our Canadian members. Many thanks.

I certainly hope I'm not reminded in like manner to recognize members from other countries. I would know, beyond the shadow of a doubt that it was an omen if I had to dodge a Kangaroo or a Kiwi in Kentucky.
OK also slow down near any leprechaun crossings. Run over one of these, and you will have serious bad luck with your tranny. Make you wish you had hit a kangaroo.

BTW Randy, kiwi are fruit these days, they don't fly or hop.

I certainly didn't mean to shun our Irish bretheren (even transplanted Aussies), but, did not want to admit that I had seen a large bottle of Guinness, followed by a shot glass full of Bushmills, running across the road.

(I don't think Trevor would cotton much to being called a "fruit." )

You just gotta ease up on those weeds, Randy. Large bottles of stout don't grow on trees, or cross the road after chickens.

I have only ever seen them hovering in mid-air near the Pink Elephants myself.

Expect Trevor wouldn't cotton much to being called an Apteryx either.......

Eh!

The only close calls my SVX has had with the geese are when they **** on it.

Which reminds me... If you ever see a flock of birds (like thousands) sitting on power lines and tree branches, whatever you do, don't stand outside... Unless you want to see a sh!tstorm up close and personal. I narrowly avoided one by standing underneath the tailgate of my Legacy GT Wagon.

Speaking of crap, Taurus emissions

VK

did you see the post from Andy about the lone SVX amid a gaggle[lets stick with the geese] of Taurus SHOs, whatever they might be?

The picture is from April last year, the locations on the site are around Ontario, and the SVX owner is called Philip. Guess he must not be on the board or he would have responded.

No, I didn't see the photo...

But I think you're referring to Phil Bender. I think he lurks around once in a while...

To say the least, he almost got goosed.

Perhaps he should have honked?
